I am starting this to keep a memory of the time I served as line pilot for Texas LifeStar in Sherman, Texas from April 2006 until August 2008. it's something I should've started when I began the job and for my oversight I will undoubtedly get some of the details wrong, unintentionally, and there will be somethings I forget all together.
But working in the emergency medical field teaches valuable lessons and for me, working as an EMS helicopter pilot was a dream for a long time and if I don't write down some of the memories now, I will lose the chance of remembering them down the road
I've moved on from flying full time to go back to school at Dallas Theological Seminary to get my masters degree in theology in order that I might be able to teach as a professor some day. I already miss being in the air, even though it wasn't always on my schedule when I worked for LifeStar, and am currently exploring opportunities to get back in the air and stay current with my skills.
I will attempt to start from the beginning and work in a chronological fashion, but understand that somethings don't lend themselves to such an orderly approach and therefore may come out of order. Out of respect for the law and the patients it intends to protect, some of the details concerning the medical conditions of the patients I dealt with will be changed appropriately, but not in such a way as to distort the facts of my experiences.
That is all for now
